Artisana recently sent me samples of some of their organic, raw nut butters. I love raw foods, but I didn’t know if raw nut butters would be anything special. I wondered if they would be… blah. My conclusion is: Not at all!

They were all great, but my favorite was the Cacao Bliss. I had no idea that anything could taste this good! It’s solid, but when you put it on your tongue it literally just melts in your mouth. Melty, smooth, delicious cacao butter… mmMMm.

I tried a few flavors in my recipe for Chocolate Nut Butter Syrup, and now I wouldn’t want to make chocolate syrup without it. There is no going back to plain chocolate syrup for me!

Coconut butter… I use coconut oil and coconut Earth Balance butter, but Artisana Raw Coconut Butter was completely different. We had cornbread muffins one night and I spread the coconut butter on top. It melted like butter would and you could taste the coconut. I also tried it on warm, homemade bread and it was amazing- I love the hint of coconut flavor that it adds to everything!
