TiaTofu.com, One Month Later…

I posted my first recipe on TiaTofu.com one month ago! :)

I started this website for two main reasons
To share my recipes. I love cooking, and I especially love to cook for other people. I strive to show people that going vegan doesn’t mean missing out on good food or being deprived. I get asked for recipes often, and eventually the idea of starting a website to keep all of my recipes and food photos together came to mind.

To show people that being vegan isn’t difficult. Once you learn about all of the food options that are out there, eating a vegan diet is easy to do almost anywhere- and especially at home. It doesn’t have to be any more expensive or time-consuming than your current way of eating.

When posting recipes this last month, I realized that I didn’t want to write too much and take the focus away from the recipe itself. But I have so much more to share than just a list of ingredients! So I’ve been working on figuring out how to incorporate everything into one blog.

The first thing I added was a place to share coupons and great deals on vegan products. I just-so-happen to also love couponing. I realize that everyone isn’t interested in couponing like I do, but I think sharing the deals I find can help other people and families, who are either already vegan or trying to switch to a plant-based diet, to save money. I’m already finding the deals for myself, so I decided to share them with others as well.

The next thing I chose to add is a “blog” page, which is what you are currently reading. Well, my whole website is kind of a blog. However, I want a place to share everything else vegan-related that isn’t a recipe or a coupon. I also want to give readers the chance to get to know me more, and I want to get to know you. :)

So what will I post about on my blog page?
Well… everything else! I want to talk about things like this really awesome pan I just bought, new ingredients as I try them, and vegan products that I find or love. I might also talk about the most recent documentaries I’ve seen, my container garden, my three naughty hilarious cats, and whatever I find interesting at the time. I hope you like the most recent additions to TiaTofu.com!
